One of the former members of the Third World Women's Alliance needs our help. Ms. Stella Holmes-Hughes is currently battling pancreatic cancer and needs support while undergoing treatment. In recent years, Ms. Stella has worked tirelessly serving unhoused people with mental illness in New York. If you are able, please consider contributing to her GoFundMe. Let's be sure to materially support our Black women activist elders while they're still with us.

The #BuffaloSyllabus emerged in the aftermath of the May 2022 mass shooting, which claimed ten lives, devastated Buffalo’s predominantly Black East Side, and reverberated across the nation as a white supremacist attack. Dr. Wilson is founding member of the Black Buffalo Syllabus Collective, which developed as a way to continue conversations about racial violence, restorative justice, and community repair beyond the short-lived cycle of national media attention. Our team of volunteers work to exonerate former political prisoners, Geraldine Pointer and Martin Sostre. On July 15, 1967, at the Afro-Asian Bookshop, just two weeks after the Buffalo Rebellion, shop owner Martin Sostre and his lover & employee Geraldine Robinson Pointer were arrested and later convicted on fabricated drug charges. Their incarcerations deprived both their loved ones and the Black community of important revolutionary leaders. While Martin has since passed away, Geraldine continues to fight for her exoneration today. Follow our efforts on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/justiceforgeraldineandmartin/
